“180DC has been an incredible ride thus far, from the recruitment process where I practiced cases by myself and worked alongside likeminded individuals, to becoming a PTM where I work with the same people to create a tangible impact on people and communities around me. I can wholeheartedly vouch for the analytical approaches to problem solving, mentorship from seniors, and impact generated that 180DC consistently provides.”
Rishi Madhavan, Project Team Member
“One of the most valuable aspects of my time with 180DC has been the chance to work alongside experienced mentors and alumni who have provided me with valuable guidance and insights. Through their mentorship and advice, I have gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed in the consulting industry and have been able to refine my career goals and aspirations.”
Shivani Gandhi, Project Team Member
“Being a part of 180DC has given me exactly what I was missing in my college career! It is the perfect intersection of being part of a community that encourages you to constantly grow and learn, while serving people around me. 180DC has reminded me of the value of service and the virtue of sharing my knowledge. It is incredibly fulfilling to be a part of this organization!”

As a consultant, you are part of a team of 4-6 consultants assigned to a semester or year-long project. Your specific role will depend on the needs of the client, project specifics, and your team’s skill set. Our projects cover a wide variety of industries, including marketing strategy, operational efficiency, social impact tracking and more, so be prepared for anything! We will always put you in a position to succeed, so long as you are willing to adapt and be passionate about your work.
As a part of a global organization, we have a sophisticated organizational structure with a wide range of roles. From president to treasurer to PR director, there are a number of leadership positions available for our student consultants.
Our Selection Process
We utilize a three stage interview process to select the most qualified candidates for our team:
1. Resume Screening
Screening is done by a select committee of experienced 180DC consultants. We will be looking for academic leadership and team-working ability.
2. One-on-One Interview
Each candidate is given a case interview to gauge their problem-solving and analytical skills. This is modeled after the case interview process conducted by industry-leading firms.
3. Group Case Interview
Each candidate is placed in a group with three other candidates and paired with an experienced 180DC consultant. They are tasked with identifying and proposing a solution to a given problem.
